Our Arctic Gardens brand in Canada

VEGETABLES ARE EVEN BETTER WITHOUT RESIDUES OF PESTICIDES !

Given that 86%* of the population in Quebec is concerned about the presence of pesticides in their food, Arctic Gardens has decided to lead the way by launching, 4 frozen vegetable items “tested for pesticide residues” on February 1st, 2021: an innovative approach which responds to customer expectations and is totally in line with Bonduelle’s CSR objectives and its B!Pact.

AN INITIATIVE IN LINE WITH MARKET EXPECTATIONS

The Quebec equivalent of the French label “zero pesticide residues”, the label “tested for pesticide residues” means that no chemical pesticide molecules amongst those tested has been found in a concentration above the authorized limit. Each batch is tested for residues of over 300 pesticides by independent laboratories, according to our pesticide residue control program and the defi ned limits: a quality promise which applies to the brand’s peas, sweet corn, and whole and extra-fi ne green beans, and which reassures the customers.

HIGH POTENTIAL AND ALREADY RECEIVING NOMINATIONS!

Customers are willing to pay slightly more when it comes to the quality of their food, and they understand that the price of these products is between that of conventional products and organic products. All the teams at Arctic Gardens have contributed to this innovative and challenging approach and significant funds have been invested in PR and digital advertising: the brand has already been nominated as a fi nalist for the DUX Eat Better, Live Better Grand Prix Awards, and we are awaiting confi rmation from the Retail Council of Canada if it will be a fi nalist at the Canadian Grand Prix!
